OPEN POSITIONS:
IT Support Specialist
Position Overview / Responsibilities:
- Represent SoftLink in a positive and professional manner to colleagues, clients, and vendors
- Onsite client support as required for the delivery of services
- Serve as primary liaison between the customer and the SoftLink team to ensure a strong line of communication
- Respond to support phone calls, emails, and support tickets from clients
- Analyze and determine service priorities, plan daily schedules, investigate user complaints, troubleshoot and resolve system / hardware / software problems
- Contribute to and maintain user and technical systems documentation library
- Build and maintain high quality customer relationships through consistently demonstrating a high level of professional service and demeanor
- Remain current and up to date in job knowledge through professional development opportunities, read related publications and communications
- Take ownership of user problems and follow up the status of problems on behalf of the user and communicate progress in a timely manner
- Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles
- Document and conduct system monitoring / reporting on hardware, software, phone system and network resources and data center operations to ensure a high level of availability, performance, security and integrity
- Provide resolution of basic security related issues such as malware detection, password reset
- Participate in disaster recovery activities and special projects as required
- Maintain and protect confidentiality with regards to all aspects of client information
- Demonstrates and actively promotes an understanding and commitment to the mission of SoftLink through performing behaviors consistent with the organizations’ values
- Potential on-call responsibilities, as assigned
- Be a supportive team member to others
- Provide redundancy and backup support for other team members
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems (preferred / not required)
- 1-3 years’ experience in the related field
- Works with minimal supervision (self-starter/self-motivated / self-disciplined)
- Handles demanding situations / timelines
- Detail oriented / strategic thinker
- Responsible / timely / dependable
- Professional with strong work ethic
- Exhibits strong customer service skills
- Strong desire to support and mentor
- Critical and analytic thinking skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work effectively with other team members
- Strong verbal and written communication and time management skills
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office products (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of M365 Admin Tenants (Entra, Exchange, etc.)
- Working knowledge of ConnectWise RMM and PSA a plus
- Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy
- CompTIA Certification (preferred but not required)
- Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered

- Meet physical demands of the position, including but not limited to, the ability to lift and handle up to 45lbs of materials, bend, stoop, stretch as required for placement and retrieval of materials or equipment on shelving, with or without reasonable accommodation
